Default To Xenon or not to xenon

I was hoping to win a set of AFL units and fretro fit, but ive been out bid.
    Plus they werent cheap.
Do any of you lovely lads recommend any xenon upgrades for the Vec C?
My wee brother got a set, and i have to say, utterly unimpressed, you can hardly see a thing with them.

ANy really good kits that are worth the money out there? or should i break into the local Police yard and snatch their Vectras units?

    cheers

I got these in yesterday. 6000K and they're a really good job.

If you were to go for them, you should think about changing your sidelights to extreme white bulbs, as the standard one's look abit stupid beside the white/blue lights.

One of the first mod's I made was a 4300K kit and between that and simply adjusting beam height to the legal max I can see incredibly well now!

I have 6000K bulbs also but felt they were just too blue to look classy (to me I hasten to add)

I went with the HID-direct kit but other manufacturers are available

I have AFL's on my GSi and a 6000k HiD set on my SRi, and I can hardly tell any difference.

No, you have factory Xenons on your GSi (4300k) AFL's are the bendy ones that look round corners

I thought AFL's were the self adjusting ones?

Sort of, all the factory xenons are auto adjusting to keep the beam level, they have to if they want to comply with the law.

AFL's go one step further and turn the beam to the left and right with the steering.

    Both are 4300k.

Just been doing some reading. I thought I had AFL's, but I don't think they were available on my model, unless they have been upgraded. When I turn the lights on, they do some moving sequence.

Ill just presume they are normal xenons lol.

Ok I have Xenons on my GSi and 6000K HiD kit on the SRi. No difference lol.
