    Default Good Suspension set up

    Hi guys,

I have a 1.9cdti Signum Exclusive '06 (150 BHP), both front springs went on it recently and I left it in to a garage to replace them. Paid about £80 for the pair (plus Labour ). The car feels a lot softer at the front now, less precise in corners.

Does anyone know if the Exclusive had firmer springs than the standard models?

General opinion on here seems to be to go for B4's & Eibach springs if upgrading, is that a fair comment?

Can you get the upgraded springs without lowering your ride height?

All opinions welcome, although most of you are probably p*ssed off discussing this again!

    Thanks for any help.

IIRC, firmer springs were only fitted to SRI models. Most people would agree to Eibach springs and Bilstein Dampers (B4's most common, but some have firmer). However, there are also many who haven't gone down this root and are still happy with what they have.

As this is a discussion forum, no one will be p*ssed off, as people like to share the knowledge that they have gained.

Just make sure they fitted diesel springs, as they support the weight of the engine.

Thanks guys, I'll ask the question. Was thinking that it might be that they need a couple of days for the springs to bed in?

    NO

If you have got petrol springs fitted or non sri. Then it will be like you described.
