    Default cold gearbox crunch and tuning

    hi, new on here. couple of questions which i am sure have been asked before but here goes.
    i have a vectra sri 150 which i use for everyday work. i average around 25K miles a year.
    looking to up the performance and have been recommended a caterman tuning box with an egr plate with 10mm hole in.
    done a search on ebay but cant find the tuning box, can anyone point me in the right direction?
    also the gearbox is notchy / slight crunchy syncro between 1 -2 and 2 -3 when cold. once warm it is a lot better but i can still detect a slight notchiness when changing between these gears.
    when changing down from cold in any gear it is ok.
    i have read about gearbox oil levels and that 2.2 litres is the way to go?
    any advise greatly appreciated

    Ive got a sri150 only 28k on the clock and i get a slight notchiness between gears too (Better when warm).. I think they all do it, I know a few people with these cars.

    I would get your car remapped, and have the egr valve disabled via the remap.. then vent oil breather to atmosphere; If your car is an estate, get the dpf deleted (Hatchbacks dont have dpf).. ive done this to mine - runs like a dream, loads of torque.. goes like stink :-)
