    Hi bigdan

Don't Know what max limit is but with the standard bulbs - 55w the wiring is taking 4.58 amps.

Divide the watts by volts and it gives you your amps.

Basically what I would like to know is can I run 100w bulbs on the standard wiring? I work this out to be about 8.4 amps. I REALLY don't want to start messing with relays and extra wires so if I can get away with it then I will be very happy.

I think e.u. law says 55w is as high as you can go without your bulbs being to bright for on coming traffic. So come MOT time it might fail! Plus it might damage you lenses.

Obviously if I had any problems with the brightness for oncoming vehicles I would adjust them down or if neccessary replace the original bulbs. I am fairly sure the lenses will be able to cope.

Except due to the canbus wiring, the headlights aren't directly connected to the switch, they are turned on by a module, and that's what you are most likely to fry if you overload it !!!
