Default The new brakes, 400 miles later

After doing 400 miles on the new brakes, I haveto say what an improvement, much less force require on the pedal than befre to get equal stopping power, but when you hit them hard you really notice how efficient they are.

VXR Brakes are in a different price bracket all together...

approx £750 for fronts and £450 for rears.....

Whereas Matt's set would cost around £300-350 normally (Without favours or special deals)

It is a big job to fit VXR brakes to lesser models.

The disc dust sheild will only accomodate upto the 314mm disc, so unless you want to hack it off in a bodge job way, the hub will have to be removed from the driveshaft to either fit VXR sized dust sheilds or to remove the smaller sheilds all together.

And as Steve has said, the VXR kit is a big jump price wise, if you take into account the weight saving of the 1.9 over the VXR, the 314mm brakes should not be that far off the actual braking performance of the VXR itself.

Yes fitting the VXR set up would be a bigger jump performance wise, I am more than happy with these, LMF does the trick again!!!!

the V6 set up is a 30 min job to fit to 4 pot cars an works very well for the money
say you could go for 4 or 6 pots but your looking at over £1000 vs £300
