    Default Ethernet adapter fried

    Had 2 mini power cuts tonight everything went off for just a split second and now my Ethernet on MB is fried by the looks of it

    Nope never used one so looks like it's either new MB or buy a pci Ethernet card

    I've had it happen myself, and it's a real bummer. A storm took out my motherboard ethernet interface, one of my router ports, knocked out the house power and blew up the stereo in the conservatory!
    If it's definitely PCI, I may have one kicking around.

    I have surge protecter on power sockets but not one on my Ethernet thanks for offer Phil going to see how much they are today should be only a few £ will have to make do with a pci one
