    Default 3.0 cdti K & N Filter change

Well been on here a week now and I'm at it already

New K & N filter arriving tomorrow and going to fit it. Anyone else done one on a 3.0? Any quirks to watch out for? I have had a good look around and it seems pretty straight forward if you have Torx bits.

Anyone noticed a difference in performance and economy?

    Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just take your time moving the ECU over as you lift it out. Its worth doing the air box derestriction whilst there too. Car runs smoother with less hesitation at low down pull away.

    As above, don't rush.

there are a few screws that you need to get to underneath the ecu in order to lift out the airbox cover

Cheers gang . I'll keep track of the fixings then!

The airbox mod? Is that removing the plastic piece off the base of the box?

Has anyone tried cutting the output tube back as well?

What does the airbox mod actually do as far as driving the car goes?.

I know it allows a better flow of air, but I've read in some posts here that it makes a wee difference to low down power in some folks opinions.

    Is that indeed the case?.
