    Default help with de-cat please

    hi people need some help,i got a vectra c gsi,its got a custom rage dual exit exhaust,and i want to get it de-catted,the bloke said "do i know if the car will still run ok????coz some cars can run funny with de-cats" and might need remapping??? does anyone know anything that might help pleasethanks kev.

    as my gsi has only got one lambda sensor, which is precat, rather than a pre and post cat sensor i should imagine that it will be fine to remove the cat. Without the postcat sensor the ecu can't measure cat preformance so it shouldn't affect the running of the car if the cat is removed..

    remember to get the joints flanged so you can swap the cat back in for the MOT test..
