saved a lot of worry

Just read a post on our forum that has saved me a lot of worry and work , it is the post about the oil pressure light , as i have just changed both the balance and the timing chain, i was watching the warning lights like a hawk when the car was started for the first time. I never really took any notice when i first put the key into the ignition and only looked for warning lights after it started, none were found, and so i thought all was good in the world, until i looked for the oil pressure warning light, i had turned off the engine and then put the keys back in only to find that there was no oil warning light on the dash, i turned off the ignition and left it 10 mins then tried again , and still no oil pressure warning light, at this point i started to worry, if the previous owner was a devil and had removed the bulb, ect, ect and i had not noticed, all these things went through my head , my first reaction was to look on the forum , and , all was revealed. The 2002 z22se engine oil pressure warning light will not light up when the ignition is first switched on, it did on the previous year and it will on the 2003 model ,bit for reasons only known to gm , they decided to change it for my year, i hope this helps someone who has no idea this has been done on the 2002 z22se engine, anyway once again this forum has saved me both worry and time, a thanks to all who contribute to a great place to be
