Default Help! Bodywork damaged! Possible replacement parts?

    Hey folks!

Good tip for ya, remember your handbrake even when you think you don't need it!

Not sure what's best really so thought I'd ask some guys potentially in the know.

I got my car cleaned the car other day and feeling lazy I used a car wash in town. As I ran in to buy the ticket the car must have been parked on a slight slope because when I came out there's my pride and joy parked up against the wall alongside a metal pillar..

I'm now left with a dent on my near side front wing about 7 inches wide and a few scuffs down the bumper.

Pics will follow and I'll do that tonight when I'm home from work because I was hoping one of you lovely people are dab handers in body work repairs?? The company I've had to use before for some scuffs etc won't do it as they say its for a body shop and to be a job for them.

Failing that I'm looking to source perhaps a new front wing and SRi bumper in star silver for a preface vectra.

If anyone can help with my predicament I'd greatly appreciate it as I've found a front wing for 50quid off ebay but bumpers are few and far between.

Any suggestions for national body work repairers would be good as well but open to all suggestions at the mo as I can't keep making left turns all the time to hide this unsightly ding!

    Cheers

An even better tip is to leave the car in 1st gear when parked up.

Better angle of the bumper would be good, but from here that looks like it can be repaired, as for the wing. That will need replacing.

for £49 delivered (Not sure if you could get to yorkshire to collect) for a replacement wing I don't think it's to bad, however, I do not know how much it would be to get the dents pulled out professionally. May be worth getting it priced up.

changed my wing. same colour off a damaged car. so much easier. silver is popular you will find one.

On my facelift, bumper off, light cluster off, side skirt off. Inner wing wheel arch cover pulled back a little. All bolts for wing become available to get to and unscrew, them refit of new wing reversal of procedure and rebuild.

No body parts replacement experience for me and I managed it

Yeah thats the problem, do i leave that wing on ebay as i saw that myself and the bottom part does look rather manked although the person who emailed me after i asked for some clarification on "good condition" said nothing polish wouldnt buff out.

I'm thinking do i just grab it whilst i can and then get the scratches repaired on the bumper because the wing is buckled as a result of the dent.

Even if the dent can be pulled out whether it would pull the wing into shape is a different matter.

    Cheers guys

Once sorted will post pics of it again.

    Def alot to think about.

The wing will have to be sprayed anyway to colour match, or at least half of it. so any marks on the new one will not really matter.
