    Default insignia dvd800 upgrade

    Hi all,

A while since i've been on the old forum!
had the Insignia now since August 2010 and done 40K miles!
pretty good really and certainly since I stuck some decent tyres on it!
anyway thats digressing so back to what I'm looking for.
car has the dvd 800 which is a fine piece of kit but let down badly by the fact it only does 5 figure post codes same as the veccy I had before it.
Maverick told me this was fixed with a later edition dvd and to get in touch with my local dealer which I did, I have a good crack going with the guy who sold me the vec and the insig but problem is they aint had a single later model insig in with nav for months! so cant get hold of a later dvd rev.
so after all that rambling, anyone out there got an updated (probably 60 plate on) dvd 800 disk that does 6 figure post codes I could borrow/steal/copy/filch/nick etc for five minutes to enable me to keep my blood pressure down!
you guys know how it is when you have something thats not working to its full potential, ****** frustrating to say the least!

    cheers

    pete mc

sure I read somewhere that there was a change made to cars, where the very latest nav disks wouldn't work in early cars for some reason. However this shouldn't affect you enabling 6 digit postcode support, if you can find a late-early disk.

Need to find that other post...............

Edit: though it was on this forum, but found it here - Summary - 2011 MY Nav disks don't work in previous MY cars. See Post 25 onwards.

this is interesting ! i'm not fussed about the postcode thing but it annoys me that the DVD800 doesn't highlight speed camera's , been on the manufactures website and cant seem to get an answer to wether they sell an upgrade disc with this fascility on ! still , i'm interested if such a disc that you search for is available ??
