Hi, following the other threads about the meet at the Heritage Centre in Luton http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=133170, thought those of you who can't make it on the 21st May and may still want to take a look round the Heritage Centre, may be interested in a general open day (mainly aimed at classics but anyone is welcome) - please see details from the press release below (copied and pasted from original here http://www.vauxhall.co.uk/about-vaux...HeritageCentre )

I don't have anything to do with organising this but may well pop in at some point if I don't have anything else on, so just sharing the details for anyone who wants a look around

Celebrate classic-car motoring with Vauxhall

On Sunday, 17 April, 2011, from 10.00 a.m. until 4.00 p.m., Vauxhall will be opening the doors of its Heritage Centre in support of the annual classic car celebration, Drive-it Day.

Organised by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs, Drive-it Day encourages owners to take their classic cars out on the road in celebration of motoring and heritage at its finest. The day is firmly entrenched as part of the UK’s classic vehicle movement: it commemorates the day in April 1900 when 64 cars set off from London for the first day of the Thousand Mile Trial.

To show just how many classic vehicles are on the road today, why not bring your classic car across to the Heritage Centre for Drive-it Day? All makes and models are welcome. Plus you’ll be able to view the Vauxhall collection of over 50 cars ranging from the 1900s through to the present day.

The Vauxhall Heritage Centre

The Vauxhall Heritage Centre can be found in Park Street, Luton, behind the main Griffin House headquarters in Osborne Road. If you’re travelling to the event using not-so-classic SatNav, the postcode for the Vauxhall Heritage Centre is LU1 3YT.

The Centre will be open from 10.00 a.m. until 4.00 p.m. We hope to see you there.
