Default exhaust gases warning light has come on..

ok so the warning light came on today and the car feels alittle sluggish..

is it ok to drive with light on??

will try and clean egr in the week, as it may help (although it seems most of these problem lights go out on there own anyways.)

    anything else i could do??

ive used the search and most just go out.

Sounds like the EGR needs a good clean.

Get the codes read if you can though

Mine is similar, I would upload a pic of the EGR but can't on this forum.

Can someone tell me how many bolts I need to remove the EGR? There a two torx screws on the right hand side of the EGR which I can see but theres a metal plate in the way, how do I remove these?

    Sorry to hijak this thread!

2 nuts to remove the clip that the engine cover fits onto.

Then 4 bolts to remove the EGR valve itself.

Remember to remove the connector plug first though
