Talking I'm Man enough to admit it

I locked the (only) key in the veccy today

The buttons on my key don't work, so to lock the car I tend to put drivers window down, shut door, hand in, lock door then put window up. I had lent into the car to grab my iPhone charger, locked up, went on my way - half way to where I was going I checked my pockets and No veccy key

    Thank god for the AA

If the key remote doesn't work, why don't you use the key in the door lock like a good ol' fashioned key?? No chance of locking the key in the car then !

If the OP's car central locking is like mine, then the only the drivers door will lock using the key in the door lock. To lock all the doors at once you either have to do what the OP did, or reach in through the passenger door and press the lock button on the drivers door panel. Or you could manually lock each passenger door by reaching across and pressing the lock plunger down, and thne get out and lock the drivers door with the key.

Or fix the buttons on the remote? I couldn't be bothered doing all that to lock the car!
