Dual Exhaust - No Back Boxes?

Hey all!

I've just gotten my new Dual exhaust system fitted by Longlife.

Full stainless steel Cat-Back system, with dual tips (looks like 2 pipes either side)

looks great, sounds great and improve the responsiveness and accelleration of the car - bonus!

However, it does seem to sound a liiiiitle bit hollow, probably because they decided to only use the centre box and remove both back boxes. Which they said they've done to improve the sound.

I was just wondering if anybody else has had a stainless steel system fitted to their veccys, and did your company decide to forgo the back box and just use a long pipe from the centre box to the rear? if so, how does yours sound? good? a little hollow?

my stainless system consits of a small center box, then 2 small ovel boxs eachside with my quad tips, iits deep an troaty! even good a healthy burble on the overun well happy

I just had mine done, check ' white 3.2v6 black roof', I removed both back boxes off mine, it was ok, so removed the middle silencer and put a pipe straight through, oh my god it sounds amazing! Pops on the over run too I got quad tail pipes too

When I had one fitted to my old Vec, it had the centre box removed, and had two rear boxes (one for each exit).

My old be by never had anything apart from pipe and 2tips lolno boxes or cat at all

surley you would loose peormance with noting but pipe front to bak?
