    Default CD30 Replacing CDR 2005

    Hi,

My CDR 2005 in my vectra is furbarred!! Wont load CD's and sounds like its full of nails!

Can't be bothered taking it out to fix it.

My question is, will this CD30 fit my 2004 SRi V6 CDTi?

    Cheers folks

Yes but you will still have to do a bit of rewiring.. (look in the how2 section) both Bigmac and me replaced our old radios with nagivation system like the one you are linking to.

but that is just the screen, you will need the radio also.. and will cost you about 300-400£ before you are finished..

have a look on google as opinions on this vary so much alot saying if you get the radio, display and leads plus tech2 it can be done without to much expense others just say forget it seems most money would be spent having a tech 2 session

As said, it depends upon what you want..

It is possible to fit a CD30, CDC40 and even CD70 to a half-CAN vehicle..
But you need to get an SOT 122S lead to do the wiring conversion for you
    (plus some wiring know how..)
You will also need any necessary aerial plug adapters.
(You must also ensure that you get such a set up from an Astra-H or Vectra-C / Signum only).. Corsa-C / D, Omega-B, Astra-G are all wired up differently in the display plug).

For those who have joined the forum in the past 18 months...
"I fitted a Vectra-C CD70 and GID to my Non-CAN 1994 Cavalier, using this exact method"

If you fit any other standard Half-CAN radio, then this will be nearer to plug and play.

If you fit any of the high-end Half CAN units, such as NCDR2011, NCDC2013, NCDC2015 then these are do-able, but require a lot more additional wiring.

    So there are your choices.
