Depends on where you read the info, but most say they have little to no effect on the cars running. The only difference I have noticed is when I use "v power" etc over std fuel.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Depends on where you are in the UK (to work out which refinery your fuel comes from) and where you buy fuel

Here in Scotland there is no point, all fuel is supplied by BP

However, there is quite a difference between the keys that are used
The smallest differences are Shell, BP, and Sainsburys
The largest difference is ASDA and BP

When I am outwith Scotland I only use Shell or BP, say no more...

I ran 0.5L of 2 stroke oil mixed with 0.25L of a diesel additive through a Peugeot 308 1.6HDi 90 with only 10k on the clock. Ran a bit better after and I haven't seen smoke since (1k).

Where does Texaco and esso fuel come from, and I've also heard many bad things about that shell fuel save stuff. With the additives, don't really see much affect, I never leave my tank to go bone dry and change my fuel filter on a regular basis. I also remember someone on here cutting open a cars fuel tank that had done a fair few miles and it was clean as a whistle.
