Default 3 advisories on my MOT

Offside track rod end ball joint has slight play (2.2.B.1f)
Nearside rear upper torque/reaction arm has slight play in a pin/bush (2.4.G.3)
    Slight play in steering nearside

What do the codes in brackets mean?
Is the second one the rear upper control arm? - if it is i only replaced them last year
Also, any idea on costs or is there How2's on these?

During the MoT you have the option to stay and observe
This can be useful as the tester will show you the parts that are advisories or have failed

The parts with play are easy enough
The front track rod end may be resulting in uneven front tyre wear, so have a look at this
If there is no adverse wear, then wait until both have play or one has worn, then replace both (and only replace both, not just one side)

Same with rear control arm, sounds like the tester is referring to the anti-roll bar link, replace both bushes

My main concern would be the play in steering, as this is the opposite side from the front track rod end
Strange that no specific part was listed
I would arrange for this to be looked at
Equally, as these parts are probably urgent, have the track rod ends done at the SAME time
On completion, of all three, have a full four wheel alignment completed
