beebs when turning ignition off

My Vectra 2005 v6 diesel makes a number of beebs when the ignition is turned off. Has done so for the last three years. Just realised this may be to indicate there are fault codes recorded. Also if the indicator stalk is held up or pushed back(not sure which) it produces a series of beebs that sound like the same as the error codes shown on the dash flashing light when the pedals are held down.

I havent recorded the beeb counts but from memory there was a two, severn then a further two numbers. Does anyone know about this and can help?

That's to notify you that you've switched on the parking lights.

By moving the indicator stalk either left or right will put on the front and rear side light on either the left or right of the vehicle and also show the green indicator arrow in the speedo housing for approx 1 minute.

If you have the headlights on, then switch the ignition off, the headlight warning comes on
A continuous but slow, bleeep - bleeep - bleeep
Solution is to open then close the drivers door, or to switch the lights off, then back on again
