hi i have a 2.2 dti on a 53 plate it turns over but will not fire up,flattened battery trying,any body help, i think it my be glow plug, but how can i find where they are and how do i change them thanks

Too warm now to be glow plugs. Might be a fuel problem. Have a look through the how to section for the guide on how to start a DTi with air in the fuel lines. Check the fuel filter too, mine was blocked and had stopped the car from starting.

Check the butterfly valve in the throttle body is not stuck closed. Use your finger on the vacuum actuator to check for free movement. If its the same as the 2.0 dti the valve closes when you switch off the engine, then opens again after a few seconds. My wife's zafira was not opening again. just disassembled it this weekend and cleaned it out with carb cleaner.
Had it in a garage the other day and they told us it needed a new diesel pump. It actually would not start for them and the idiots could still not find the fault.
