my cars is 08 2008 reg covered 40k

started using ac with it getting warmer and seem not work

lights up when i press button and can feel increase in power from fan but doesnt get any colder

will it just be a re gas ?

if your lucky yes, if not new condenser, dont think its the compressor as you say it's been running, quick fit offer a recharge and if it fails yor money back, can't loose.

mine been same (08 too) .. VX recommend a re-gas every year. Folk on here suggest it's used EVERY week,.. even winter, to keep the seals lubed

If you leave it on permanently that shouldn't be necessary. You can still heat the car in winter but with the added benefit that the air is dehumidified.

You don't have to wait until it gets warmer to use the AC. You're meant to regularly run it throughout the year to prevent seals from drying out and losing the refrigerant gas.

Yep, that's basically how climate control works. You can use bog standard AC as climate control by manually adjusting the heater knob. Makes for a great demister too.
