Me cars making a clonking sound when the steering is on full lock.
My guess is it's the CV joint. Anyone any ideas on how much this'll be to fix please?

£144 + VAT + labour (reckoning 2 hours at £80 per hour!!!!!

as a drive shaft from a brakers will set you back around £30ish
with the CV's
also its easy to fit your self only take the wheel off bang off a cap an undo the shaft an pull out an re fit new one kind of
if you're in the South east i'll do it for ya..£80 labour..flippin ripoff..

Might not need a new CV joint, if the boot has split and it's only just started knocking on full lock, a new gaiter and grease should sort it ok, been there many times before with Cavalier J, used to split em on a reg basis.

My neighbour over the road is a mechanic so might get him to have a butchers at it to confirm what's required.

if you need a new one mate i will get a number of a brakers yard in essex that will have the drive shafts in for you
