You have to be careful there. A 120 and 150 16v both have the oil cap on the right hand side, but the 120 8v has the oil cap on the left hand side. If you are deciding on whether to buy a 120 or 150 16v and are going to modify it (performance wise), then buy a 120 16v version (which should cost less than an equivalent 150 16v), but as they are exactly the same engine, you can have it remapped to the same power as the 150 16v. Hope this helps.

why not just look down at the manifold if you're not sure
swirl valves on the manifold = 150ps. Or just test drive it - if it's slow, it'll be the 120hp. The 150hp should have fairly decent acceleration.

a red "TI" plus the position of the filler cap should be enough to be 99% certain it's the 150ps.

Won't work as some 120's were released as 16V, so the oil cap will be on the right and swirl flaps will still be present.

i've never seen or driven a 16v 120ps, looked at loads.
    myth until there's some evidence.

just drive 120ps and 150ps and see the difference for yourself.

I'll give you that - neither have I, BUT they are in some of the Astra 120's So I disagree there.
