    Default Auto-Dim Rear View Mirror

Has anyone retro fitted an Auto-Dim Rear View Mirror ?

I have a mirror and a cable on the way... is there anything else I need or anything I need to be aware of...?

All you need is mirror unit, harness (flat cable), a couple of torx drivers, and a bit of patience. Whole job took me about an hour.

Thanks for the links... I've looked at both but neither mentions how to remove the standard mirror... or how to physically fit the new mirror... is this bit easy to do..?

The standard mirror is held onto a dovetail mounting that is bonded to the screen.

To remove the standard mirror it is pushed down, along the line of the glass, toward the base of the windscreen. If memory serves, mine needed a bit of a tap to get it moving.... just avoid using too much hand or mallet impact if the screen is very cold.... cracks are expensive.

The new mirror conversely slides up the empty mounting until it clips into place.
