    Question Mod the Fob...

    Bit of an odd one.

Having moved from a non face lift to a facelift one of the major problems I've had is adjusting to the fact that the lock button on the facelift key is the unlock button on the old style fob. Several times now I've walked away from the car leaving it open thinking I had locked it.

Is there any way of reversing the internals and buttons on the new style fob?.

I assume I could cut and program an old style key fob to the car but don't want to go down that route.

    Thanks in advance

Can you not just 'get used to it'? More hassle otherwise imho.

Try holding the fob the other way around - ie, the blade side facing you, not away from you.

I have to watch when I use my wife's car, hers is vertical, 3 buttons, top lock, middle tailgate lock/unlock, bottom unlock. Tried using hers to open mine the other day, couldn't figure out why fob had sprouted an extra button.

Scrap this thread, I have a bigger problem to get use to. Haven't done it for a while but went to do a three point turn today and stuck it into 6th gear (reverse on my LS) so very nearly stacked the front bumper into a wall when it stalled.....

So, any way of moving reverse on the gear bo.......only joking
