    Default bake lights staying on

My brake lights have come on constant and no matter what I do they do not go off. I removed the two brake light bulbs but then the bulbs below come on. I had to disconnect the battery last night to prevent my battery being dead this morning.

also yesterday my boot stopped opening, think it might be the lock mechanism and not related to the brake light problem, but I can't be 100% sure.

has any one else had this problem, ive tried google but can't find anything completely the same.

located the brake switch ( the one were the brake pedal pushes a button ) and removed the power cable, then brake lights turn off.

any tips on removing the switch from the bracket, I think by looking at it, it should twist but don't want to try pushing to hard.

    will try cruise control now.

The brake pedal needs to be pressed before the CC is enabled, so I suspect it won't work.

    yea cruise control not working.

have ordered a new switch and can't get it until Monday, so phoned someone that specializes in Vauxhall and he said he might have two still in cars, but they can break when removing them. fingers crossed.

thanks again for all your help.

The brake light switch is still working. It needs to be pushed back a extra millimeter, don't know if the brake pedal has moved slightly.
I taped a little bit of a ice lolly stick to the end of the pedal to extend the pedal so it pushes the button on the switch in more.

is it possible to tighten the brake pedal ?

bake light? Is this the light which shows when the bread is ready?

Take it out or it will get burnt! Light should go out by itself
