    Default cig lighter

On my vec the cig ligter in the back has a smaller diameter than the one in the front, and just wanted to know how i go about changing the front one for a smaller one, if even possible?

only reason i ask is my griffin roadtrip, when in the front keeps moving, but the back one is a tight fit

    cheers

I take it you have the optional cigarette lighter in the front. You can get a 12v acessory socket with the flap for the front as most vec's have that

i just thought it was standard, so will i have to buy just an accessory socket, or will i have to buy the section that the socket fits into aswell? might have a nosey in the scrap yard.

    cheers

No, an accessory socket is slightly smaller in diameter so as to prevent a ciggy lighter being inserted into it.

Yeah you need to change the socket and the little panel around it

In my old pre-facelift I got round the problem by using a 2-in-1 adaptor and put velcro pads on the jack so it fitted tightly in the socket. Worked like a dream and I had 2 sockets available at all times.
