Angry Update 2.2 dti timing chain

well as ya may have heard i thought the timing chain had gone on the 2.2 dti engine anyway been busy so never had time to do anything on it so today decided to strip the engine out and have a look a the chains so tonight i took the chain covers off and to my surprise chains and guides and hydraulic tensioners all spot on just like new mmmm head scratching so i put the bottom pulley back on just on a hunch to see what had gone wrong and tried to turn the bottom end and to my shock and i mean shock only because i have been fixing cars for 20 years and never come across it ever the crankshaft had snapped in half gutted no warnings or anything just snapped
