Default Irmscher door lock pins: How do you fit them?

Got a set of Irmy door lock pins on eBay, arrived just now via the postie.

How do you fit these, more importantly, how do you remove the standard ones before fitting?. Just give 'em a pull or are they secured like the Irmy ones with a grub screw or something?.

    Cheers,

    Gaz.

They should have a wee panel which should click out with a small screwdriver and then they should pull off.

Ok, got the standard ones off no problem, but the Irmscher ones look to me to be sitting a bit too high and I cant seem to get them to go any further down?.

Is that normal?. Will take a couple of pics of them and maybe someone can confirm that it looks ok.

They sit basically as high as the grubscrew access allows...unless you remove the door cards and tighten them up from there.

may need a drill bit putting down the hole to clear out swarf from when they drilled the grubscrew hole..

The one's on mine and Payney's needed this treatment..

Plasma drilled them out again and they just fell on..then just leave the grubscrew showing above the doorcard when in the unlocked position.

i put the grubscrew to the door pillar, not the window side so it's less obvious..

Same with mine... think it was either 6 or 8 mm drill bit, cleaned out the holes and they fitted perfectly.

I had to do the same with mine, and push them down firmly while making sure the rod didn't go down as well. Tricky stuff and took longer than i thought but a great result, just got to get a rear set now
