It does sound very much like its doing a re-gen, although mine runs at 0.8/0.9 during its regen cycle. As said,during this cycle its important to keep the engine running. I try to get on the motorway and stay in 3rd/4th gear to keep the revs high and its usually over in 10 mins or so. Also, I have never had the glow plug light as an indication of re-gen taking place.

the flashing glow plug warning was removed by VX on most cars as the owners didn't read the manual correctly & thought the car was faulty

Are you saying your car has been doing 1.8MPG all day?

yes but i was driven from place to place and it was short journeys. seems every1 saying the same thing so when it does it again ill run it on motor.jus wasnt sure if it was serious.
