Default conflicting info from my 2 local main dealers, which is true?

ok so i went into one of my local dealers for a couple of bits for my vectra, while i was there the service manager asked me if i was aware that the timing belt change interval had been reduced from 10yrs/100000 miles to 80000 miles/ 8yrs.
this got me into a little worry as mine has done 86000 miles, so i rang my other local dealer to get it booked in, and they say that there is no such change and it is still 100000miles/ 10 years,
now whos right? dealer 1 or dealer 2?
dealer 1 i always go to for parts, as they sell parts cheaper, but dealer 2 always does the maintanance on my car because they are far more professional in their servicing dept.
both are main franchised dealers, but surely dealer 2 would be aware of such a change?
so can anyone help, as i've been using the mrs's 1.4 corsa since dealer 1 told me this, having done at least 6k more than i should of on cambelt! is it critical to get it done now or not?

Still 10yrs 100k according to my local dealer. But I know people get them changed earlier.
I changed mine at 86k (4yrs) and the water pump was on it's way out, plus the belt didn't look too healthy neither.

I'd be worried at 86k tbh many many documented instances of them breaking many thousands of miles short of 70k never mind the 100k vx recommend. Remember if it fails your on to plums with VX. They won't be interested in the slightest. An awful lot of people recommending 50k for all timing belts.

i thought it was 60000 miles or 6 years. I done mine at about 50000 along with the water pump.

Regardless of what the dealer tells you IMO taking the belt to 100k is a risk... my motor is on 125k & has just had it's second belt replacement.

Mine was changed at 65k and the water pump was on it's last legs. So I'd get it changed mate.

I replaced mine on my GSi at 65k / 6.5 years (it had never been changed before) and the belt had some largish splits in it. There is no way I would ever leave it for 80k and 8 years!
