    Default Whould wheels higher car??

    My vec is lowered on 35mm springs and when i did it it on sri wheels with 225/45/17 tyres on. I have since put on xp2 wheels with 225/45/18 tyres on so my new wheels have a same side wall profile as my old wheels but ofcourse my new wheels are 1
    Inch bigger... My question is would this actually make the car stand higher?? As since ive put my 18's on i havent wacked my
    Splitter on anyting! Or is it just me?? I was thinking about 19's next but dont want to higher car anymore! Thanks for any responses

    no its only half inch , half at bottom and half at top of wheel

    So if i put 19's on it would be higher again?? Even if i used 35 wall profile tyre?? So i mite aswell av not bothered lowering car then?? Or if i hadnt wud it be even higher!!!!!

    u sure 225 45 17 ??? if so the 225 45 18 should affect speedo so be carefull if urcar is set up to 225 45 17 then idealy you need 225 35 18 to make it stand same as it did with 17s and will correct ur speedo

    yes mate my 20s made mine in to a 4x4 lol but yer if you left it as norm it would be higer

    215/50/17 was correct for the old sri wheels, but when i replaced them i chose 225/45/17 as they was cheaper, wider and lower profile so looked better. It is an option in the handbook i believe for 17's

    As above, there would be a slight increase, but the profile size of the tyre should decrease
    Once you go above 18" you need to further shorten the springs and dampers, as the sports suspension is designed for the 18" wheel, so that the 16" (standard) and 18" (sports) are at the same height, thus making the 17" appear lowered

    So has the xp wi snoflakes got a different suspension to normal sri's??
