Whats a good price for a manifold replacement on a 150 cdti through a non Vauxhall garage?

Yeah it will play up, but in an acceptable lifetime as in all likelyhood exceed the life of the engine itself.

the part itself can be bought on ebay and other sites for approx. £180
actuator (if necessary) is another 100 or so.

what would a reasonable labour time be, for a non-vx garage? say 7 hours?
with 20%vat these days it looks like a ballpark price for that little lot would be at least £600-£700.
Costs are going up all the time so don't be surprised if it's more from some garages, depending on where you live too
