Default A day of hard graft commences!

got a list of stuff that needs done to my motor today. got 99% of the parts required and the rest are being deliverd today. well should be anyway. so the cars up on axle stands ready to go! heres my list of jobs!

1.replace front suspension with b4's and lowering springs
    2. replace rear suspension with b4's and lowering springs
    3. strip all 4 calipers and greese up pads. squealing like mad!
    4. solder repair onto abs harness and fit new link cable.
    5. Di-noc stearing wheel controls.
    6. adjust boot catch to stop squeek, knock
    7. adjust bonnet catch
    8. finish detailing that i started yesterday. got half way round in 6 hours

Glad i changed all the arb's and droplinks when the coilovers were fitted otherwise they would be on the list too.

Think thats about it dont sound alot but will keep me going most of the day if not all of it really looking forward to having a drive when done as ive had my back shacken to pieces with the cheep nasty fk rubbish. Wish me luck!

    good luck lol

one piece of advice when doing the calipers remove the slider pins and rubber housings for them clean them all up and the rubber bits , copper grease them all when you put them back
gives better brake balance and saves a job later

Well...... my day of hard graft turned in to 2 days, as the idiot delivery driver decided to give my springs to some random about 5 miles away! but got them today at half 1.

so got all my jobs complete...... well most o them

fitted my front and rear suspension with 45mm springs rather gutted as it looks way to high now but much much nicer to drive worth it i suppose

stripped all the brakes and cleaned them up but there still squeeking they can carry on squeekin anall! nae doin it again. managed to give them another 2 coats of paint as well so there looking good.

boots been adjusted no more rattles

steering wheel has been di-noc'd and looking sweet

fixed my broken abs harness with a blister or too with the solder iron

should see the nick of the coilovers tho the rear springs are decimated! so they will be getting set back tomorrow for a refund............... will see how that goes

all in all a very productive 2 days. just need to give her a good clean now and were sorted

    MOT on monday fingers crossed!
