    Default New Vauxhall Vectra C owner

    Hi All

    I am new to the Vectra - picked mine up last night as it looks like a decent family car, and I have a little one on the way.

    2005 1.9 CDTI SXI. I like it so far, but notice the fan only works on setting 4! Thats how I found this forum actually - seems to be a common issue. Also - the carpet seemed slightly damp in the passenger footwell - so i will be browsing the forums for help on these issues!

    Your wet carpet problem is probably down to the drain plug in scuttle panel blocked up .
    Lift the bonnet and on the windscreen wiper valance you will find a letter box size flap in front of the passenger side dash , in here you will find the pollen filter if it is damp or there is evidence of gung in the bottom of the tray feel around for the drain hole and clear blockage , after that probably best to replace the pollen filter .
