    Default Bad starting From Warm

    My 2006 Vectra 2.2 Sri Has a Problem
    Starting From Cold ( perfect )
    Starting From Warm And / Or About 2 Hours After .It Has A job To Start
    Tick Over Is Rubbish .Today I Had To Press The Throttle Down To Clear The Lumpy Tickover .

    Something Not Right Somewhere

    Was Told It Could Be Breather Pipes ( Wherever They Are )

    Anybody Got Any Ideas Please

    it could also be the air idle control valve. give that a clean

    Could possibly be the ecu coolant temperature sensor going faulty and keeping the car in cold start mode or a very dirty air filter not letting the engine breathe properly.

    checked the air filter today thats ok .and the pipe going to it from the throttle housing .very clean.no dirt in there at all .

    as above, difficulty starting when warm is a symptom of something wrong with temp sensor. Is your temp gauge behaving normally? When I had problems with my CTS the car struggled with warm starts, however, it was obvious there was problem cos temp gauge never moved. Thought it was thermostat first tho, then changed CTS problem solved.
    If your gauge behaves normally, must be something else.
