    Default Warranty Advice Needed

Further to various threads Ive read on here along with the one I started Im reckoning I have the ever so common DMF fail. Ive only had the car 2 months and its covered by an Evans Halshaw 3000 mile / 3 month warranty.

Im going to call them in the next day or two to get things sorted but I was just hoping if anyone with a bit more experience or knowledge could help out on the terminology the warranty contains. Listed below is whats covered, copied word for word and for what I think would relate to the DMF, gearbox, clutch sort of areas.

"Manual Gearbox - Internal gears, synchromesh hubs, selectors, shafts, bearings and brushes and transfer gears."
"Torque convertor - Failure of any internal mechanical parts."
"Differential - Internal crownwheel and pinion, gears, shafts, bearings and brushes, thrust washers and bearings."
"Clutch - Centre plate, pressure plate, release bearing, fork, oil contamination (centre plate only) and master and slave cylinders (not general wear and tear. No labour costs included."

Components not covered by the policy
"Clutch - The renewal of any clutch component due to incorrect adjustment, misuse or general wear and tear."

What do you guys think? Do I have a claim? Has anyone else been in similar situation and how did you get on? Looking forward to hearing your opinions.

    TIA guys.

They will probably pay for the DMF, but make sure the clutch is also replaced
However, they should advise you that is it is recommended
Equally, the costs should be discounted as such, as the gearbox will have to come out so make sure they don't try to charge you for all those costs

Well, after a little bit or to-ing and fro-ing as to when they could take it in, Evans Halshaw are collecting it on Weds 13th April to check out my rattley DMF. Ideally they can fix it all under warranty, but Id settle for knowing what it is if its something that the warranty doesnt cover.

Someone here, plus my Haynes manual, has pointed that it could be clutch release bearing as the clutch makes a scraping noise when it reaches the biting point. Also, pressing and letting go of the clutch pedal makes the rattle come and go when the car is in neutral.
