    I bought mine at 60k,full dealer service/history/repairs/mot's.
Thought i was getting a good one, well i have,i still had to change the injectors since buying it in october, but i don't mind as i like the car.
Mine had had a new inlet manifold, egr valve, alternator all replaced before i bought it.
I would still buy another tommorrow,at least i know what could go wrong, how much it is likely to cost to fix.
I wanted a big grill A4,but it was too much money and i knew nothing about the car's,except they looked nice, and if it went wrong, which they do,it would cost a lot more to fix.
So basically the things to watch out for on the cdti are.
    Inlet manifold
    egr valve
    injectors
    alternator
They are the main things, but don't let them put you off,as you could buy any car and still have faults, and there is nothing saying all those things will go,they possibly could.

I don't lie about anything Mark,i may have a rubbish memory and forget excact details sometimes though, lol
The engine themselfs are a very good engine, but it's the bits bolted onto them that can make them seem a bit poor.
I had a cdti last year that i bought for a good price,it seemed to have everything i mentioned above wrong with it,apart from the alternator,it still drove fine and was still quick enough,i ran it until i sold it with the swirl valves not connected and the egr valve unplugged and it was still fine to drive and it took me and a mate from cornwall to peterborough to get my new cdti no problem
And i give it stick with frustration of one thing after the other going wrong, and it still kept going fine engine wise
