    Default In need of a big shiny bus!

    Hi everyone my name is John, I'm from the peoples republic of Teesside and I'm a caraholic. I am about to embark on the challenge of buying a vectra estate CDTi and I'm unsure about the 120bhp or 150bhp. Just wondering peoples thoughts.

    I have just missed out on a couple of SRi 150 bhp and although dissapointed at the time, people tell me the ride is too firm and the seats are too stiff? So I have started looking at other trim levels.

    I got the 150 bhp estate (design). Its a very comfortable ride and packed with extras not found on the sri. Very pleased with it, and after driving my mates 120 bhp, I'm happy I opted for the 150!!!

    Only problems I have had is with the DPF, which is now sorted, and also the inlet manifold, which is a common fault on the 150's.

    If you can, go for a 57 plate onwards, they had the improved manifold and egr software. Mine's an 08, and so far (touch wood) I've had none of the usual problems, though mine is auto so no dmf and I make sure it gets a good run at least once a month.

    Look for a Design or Elite if the Sri is too firm for you and your needs
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    I find the SRi not harsh and the seat bolsters are fine for me but everyone is an individual.

    I drive the 150and mirror others opinions as to try to keep to a later model to get the benefit of the new inlet and the injector loom mod's
