    Default 2.2 sri direct tuning

    want to do a few performance mods
    other than the k&N air filter and the replacement big exhaust ( which are the first things i will do )
    what about a remap
    would i see any difference ?
    anybody had one done to there,s
    any advice ,places for tuning ,buying parts .etc
    what would be the best exhaust / noise wise aswell
    just let me know .

    going to do the airbox mod later

    same engine as mine matey and unfortunately there isnt a lot we can do to be honest, a remap from Regal will yeild about 15BHP, not much for the money. wish i'd bout 2.0T if i'm honest. I'm fitting an extra cold air feed to the air box soon so hopefully will give a touch more.....

    yeah i had read that a remap wont give much, but cures alot of flat spots .was looking at the scorpion exhaust on ebay .did not know if that was a bit dear .

    MIJ in Birmingham have a approved trader account here, a lot of us have had systems from them, got mine for £325 mind you i supplied my own tail pipes but still a good price....

    The easy way to make som extra hp is to remove the catalyst. It will give you around 6-7 hp for free if you can do it by yourself. I dont think new exhaust and a remap is worth it on a non turbo engine.

    Trouble with doing that is the CAT is actually part of the manifold so you would require a new one, bout £500 plus....

    Is it not one big cat longer back on this engine?
