Engine Cleaning/Degreasing

Hi Chaps,

Just a quick question. I have read a number of posts about engine bay cleaning and degreasing.

I want to do mine tomrrow, but a bit aprehensive of water under the bonnet.

Am i correct in saying that its a case of just being careful with the jetwash when rinsing?

Not being over agressive and use a rinse rather than power, avoiding obvious electricals and keep the engine running?

If you have done this and can offer any other pointers it would be appreciated.

Stone cold engine not running, spray cleaner, rinse with low pressure jet and you're done

Thanks. Always kinda nervous when it comes to the engine bay... !!

I'll have to resort to using a hose as i dont have a pressure washer at home... Would only be able to do that at local garage, but engine would be hot.
