Default 1 problem sorted and 1 more problem arises

finally sorted the fuel filter ( fingers crossed) so for convenience i thought i would just go to a garage to get my oil changed and filter with parts supplied, but the sump plug is rounded off completely
what can i do? guy at garage said he could chizel it as he done it before but if it cracks the sump i have been warned, so i left there needing a sump plug which will have to grab monday but is there any other way of getting this out without risking cracking the sump?
    not sure what to do??????????????
    any advice please

Not the first person to come accross this issue, he should be able to remove it by knocking it round with a chisel, its either that or go buy a Suction pump and remove the oil through the dipstick tube. These really do work(look them up on youtube), youll never have to lie under a car again to do an oil change.

I knocked a 1/2 inch hex socket over it as it's a tight fit and it worked fine. Another thing you would try is a decent pair of moleys (pliers that clamp tight)

mine was rounded off too and i couldnt get the fuel filter out of the canister so i took it to vx with my own parts and they charged me £53.00, they also plug tool in as i had eml on sometimes and advised me i needed glow plugs and control relay (which im going to do myself) and also the front 2 suspension springs had broken ends.... so worth the £53.00 imo
    hope you get it sorted

Just use a 1/2 inch hex socket it's free and will take you jo more than 10 min yo loosen off. Let the engine run for a few mins to get it warm also helps

They work really well apparently. A lot of people seem to worry that the dont take all the oil out or leave crud behind, but you can swivel the end around to get the last drops out and the filter is designed to filter out the crud anyway.
