    Default help quickly, running out of light

    got the fuel filter housing out but can i get the blasted top of? any help
    cant turn it at all, anticlockwise is what im trying as the arrows go clockwise

    how can i get it off

    some fuel filters tend to be turned the opposite way so clockwise might be the way. get a torch

    depends what engine you have,anticlock if screw on with body in vice,centre bolt out if L494500.
    there is a tool for removing top, part No EN-46784-010

    ha ha tried but batterys run out, torch on phone is but job left til morning now, means early rise as need it tomorrow
    the arrow on tightening ring is arrowed clockwise and looking at what of the thread i can see its anticlockwise1
    has anyone recently done one themselves?

    wd-40 maybe?
    old chap is bringing some stiltons round in morning?

    I used an old style oil filter chain on mine came undone but was very tight.

    i just popped into the peugot garage round the corner, he stuck it inb a vice and undone it with his hands, so a vice would of been good, put it back together and went out to find it leaking i think from the seal/o ring, took apart and done it up much tighter and yet to be tested properly but hopefully sorted, thanks guys, new problem now so new thread started in a min about a rounded off sump plug cars driving me crazy
