Default Some ebayers drive me mad!

I bought some chrome SRi window trims got them for a bargain of £15.99. Turns up two are unusable and the guy charges me £13 postage when it only cost £7

So I tell him two are no good and need them replaced. No reply so I open a case

He now wants me to send them back at my cost and he'll refund the cost to buy them so I end up £20 down for something he did not describe properly and I don't even own anymore? How does that work?

    What would you guys do?

I'd post an empty envelope with a tracking number to forfill paypal and then open a dispute for a full refund.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

They were nothing to do with the original poster.

I have opened a dispute but just don't understand how a seller can expect you to pay for postage for something he mis-described.

Big Sig why an empty envelope?

Its cheap and you get a tracking invoice for a delivery.

I have been caught like this myself. Bought something for less than a fiver. i was sent an empty box, I couldn't claim via paypal or anything else as a successful delivery had been recorded, that's all paypal want.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Never been sent an empty box thats a new one for me!

The dispute is open with ebay not Paypal. He has offered a full refund minus the postage paid and the postage to send it back.

I sent him a mail saying that if I send them back he makes £6 and still have the trim and I get nothing and lose £20 and does he think thats fair? Yes he does and he can charge whatever he wants for postage.

I may pack a box post it to him recorded say he got it and then file a claim lol cheeky burger that he is!
