    Default Rear seats not locking

Could someone please tell me what I have to do to get my rear estate seats to lock in place?

Looking at the lever you pull on to bring the seats forward there is a red bit of plastic showing there and the whole thing springs back but when the seats are put back they won't stay locked.

The model is an elite of that makes any difference?

    Thanks

I too have to slam mine or else they don't lock, and yes I have to slam them everytime, but I don't drop them very often.

thanks for the replies guys, I'll give it a go.

Can anyone tell me why they have to be slammed, I'm sure they weren't like that from new?

It's certainly not what I would consider to be "normal", I don't have to slam the rear seats on my estate in fact they can just be pushed gently until they click into place.

Are the catches adjustable like the boot catch perhaps? I haven't looked, if I remember I'll have a look over the weekend.

Yeah me too, i took mine to the dealers and they said that i would have to buy new locking mechanism for them.

lucky i didn’t, as i thought i would be able to get them from somewhere else cheaper, but when i got home i got p****d off, so slammed them and it worked

if you take the plastic bits off the seat part there is a little plastic piece that fits into a bar you can alter them so ya wont have to slam em.... did mine when i bought it cos couldnt get seats down messed about a bit and got em adjusted properly
