    Default Funny start up

Can anyone help, my vectra when cold as in not been driven over night, when you jump in, start it it, it revs at about 1100 then after about 30 secs drops to normal which is around 600-700. if you try pull away while its doing that its spluttering. But after the initial first 30 seconds at the start of the day its fine.

    Anyone else had this?

Have you changed your plugs recently? I changed mine and one of the coil pack bits wasn't put back correctly, hence letting in addional air.

Giving your throttle body a good clean would be a decent start. Details in the How2 section, really easy to do.

After that, I'd check all the plugs, making sure they're in nice and tight (but not tooooo tight!), followed by a look at the coil pack (annoyingly, the only way to check this out is to try someone elses... I'd tell you to drop by and use mine, but I'm about 200 miles away!

I will try that then, annoying thing is taking it to a garage it wont do it lol. Mind you if i left it for a few hours with them theyd be able to see it then.

Ill give these things a whirl, im not sure itd be a coil pack as when its ok after the initial 30 seconds its fine, ill give it a go, thank you.

The 2.8T's all do this as well, but they are supposed to.

I'm now thinking this may well be coilpack related. Been for a longish drive today and felt like no power there and it was hesitating

Ok, so i have been looking round, the emissions light is on now so i did the pedal test and picked up a few faults, the one im thinking it is is P0134 O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

So im guessing it needs a new lamda sensor...is that what youd guys do?

    Thanks for your help guys
