I wouldnt got to PC world mate.

Try www.overclockers.co.uk and click on the SYSTEM & BUILDS tab. They do some great machines at good prices.

I build my own machines and to be honest I cant build half the machiens for the price they sell them.

I'd pick up some mags and consider building your own too. I did my first one when I was 11, saving up pocket money from washing the cars etc. I learnt loads from it. Might not be the cheapest way but it WILL give you a good knowledge of how things work and what to do if something goes a bit tits up. Been builiding them since and now using a watercooled machine that I built a couple of years ago. Still going strong.

Overclockers are good value but people do seem to have problems with returns. Scan who do the 3XS systems are good. Not quite as cheap but the support from Scan is great. Got some of my bits from them when I was building.

Some of them overclockers are good and some ready made ones there which is good but ****** hell, a grand +. Might be waiting a while to save up that dosh. Even configuring my own is still over a grand.

If you do build your own or buy a built PC look for a motherboard that has either SLI or Crossfire.

SLI is for Nvidia Graphics cards and Crissfire is for ATI cards.

They are extra slots on the motherboard so you can add an extra graphic card when you find the original card cant cope. Wack in a duplicate card and bag. Double the graphic power.

my machine can run 3x Nvidia cards at once but I'm only running the two at the moment.

Always build your own! I finished this system about 6 months ago, walked into PC world & the same/similar machine cost £800 i paid £200!! So unless you wanna throw money away. You said in your post you play Comand & conquer + flight sims do you play any other style? Above is mentioned SLI & Crossfire however this is very expensive & wastefull, because the 2nd or 3rd cards do not run at full resource rate and unless you want 1000fps in game not needed! I would always recomend used parts on ebay for big savings especially processors, motherboards & ram. Stick to intel processors & Ati GPU's for best performance. Never buy from Alienware, overclockers etc, looks good but big waste! Do you already have a PC because depending on components you could still upgrade that machine? (you could still do a fast machine on a socket 775 board for very little money)
Budget as always will be the important thing i7 is nice if you got the £££ but not necercary for any games currently available. Even a E6800 CPU (old dual core)will blast all games still! GPU is most important for high visual games.
Willing to help if you need it, just ask or message!

Thanks for that. Do you think an i5 would be good enough. I know it can run the games but maybe with lower game settings which sometimes ruin the game ya know.
