Default Ticking and loss of everything :( HELP

    Well here goes guys.

Had my 1.8 05 vectra sri for about 7 months and its been spot on jump strating various cars and really reliable in the cold crappy weather etc.

went out last night in it and parked up like normal and locked the car. All fine.

Went back to it this morning and pressed the boot button, the boot unlocked and i opened it and put something in it. Then shut the boot and pressed the door unlock button - NOTHING.

Tried a few more times and still nothing so opened with the physical key and could hear a ticking noise from the back fuse box and maybe the front fuse box too?

Manually unlocked all of the doors (pulled the catch up) and all of them open but the front passanger. Even the boot button wont work now. When i put the key in and try to start it - the ticking stops but it doesnt even attempt to fire up.

Im thinking maybe front passanger actuator or something ? took boot fuses 17 / 18 / 21 out and they all seem ok but the ticking wont stop and the door wont open or start. Ive now at work (LATE) and have left the battery off in the hope something will reset itself over the next 5 hours.

Any advice on this as its even strategically parked in underground parking down a hill so recovery is going to be a pain in the a***.

Ill have a crack at most things and im not all clued up but im not completely daft?

    HELP

Its been a strong old battery but why would all of the other doors unlock and not the front passanger and why would both fuse boxs be ticking - relay maybe?

If there is ticking from front and rear, then I am going to go off at a tangent...

The doors are controlled by the REC and BCM
The REC is controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM)

It is not uncommon for the BCM to "Tick", where a faulty relay is to blame..

So check all your relays and fuses in the body control module
    (End of dash fuse panel)

Then check the REC (Rear Electrical Centre) - Boot fusebox and all connectors..

Regarding pulling the battery, then this does indeed sort about 90% of electrical glitches that Vectra-C suffer from when they get a cob-on..

Sounds like battery to me, VX batteries tend to just give up without warning. Get the battery checked but 97% certain its the battery

Try jump starting it of another car and that will tell you if its the battery. If it starts then its your battery if it doesn't then its not the battery.
