    Default Up-Shift Light

It's driving me mad; this stupid little green "Shift" light in the speed'o that keeps distracting me every gear change; is there any way of turning it off?
I can see what it's for, but its pretty useless really; I know to shift early on the open road to save fuel; but when your following another vehical close, driving down hill or past pedestrians it's not always a safe time to be shifting up (or getting distracted by silly green flashing lights!).

Is there a way of turning it off?

I have not seen the green shift light?

I have an orange arrow that comes on next the the mileage on the LCD centre display. You hardly notice it on mine as it's partially obscured by the steering wheel.

However .... Back to your question, I have not read in my manual any way of turning it off. Bulb out jobby?

I've found a way of keeping it off on my Astra ,

If you drive very softly if pops up about 2k-2.5k,

BUT if you put your foot down it doesn't pop up not everyones choice but works for me lol,

a little bit of both worlds...

But then again it can be driven "really" economically, less than the Vectra OPC did anyways....
