    Default Wheel bearing issue

I have a noise from the front N/S (06 reg 1.9CDTi Estate) and it seems like the hub bearing assembly is on the way out. It is noisy even by jacking up & spinning the wheel and the usual checks (trapped debris round the disc etc) revealed nothing.

I've got the bearing ready to fit along with the 3 hub retaining bolts and drive shaft nut (all part of the genuine FAG kit), total cost of £87.50 + p&p.

Reading the Haynes manual before starting, I see that the various other bolts & associated nuts i.e. lower arm to hub, hub to strut and caliper mounting are recommended for replacement on reassembly.

Are these bolts all torque/angled once only to yield and therefore cannot be reused safely?

Just wondering what others did when replacing wheel bearings before going out and buying all these extras. I couldn't find anything specifically referring to replacement in the forums.

    Thanks in advance.

Don't bother buying new bolts/nuts just use a little thread lock and make sure they are tightened FT ........I have changed countless suspension/bearings on Vec C's and never ever had an issue.

    Back in a V6 !!!!!!!!!!!! And lovin it !!!

    Thanks for the replies.

Also made a quick check with the local Vauxhall dealer, the mechanics never change the bolts when doing the bearing hub unless damaged & they're not even a normal parts stock.

Just need to get a suitable socket for the drive shaft nut and the bearing to hub bolts then.
